Key Constituency : Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad is one of the important constituencies of Uttar Pradesh state due to the reason that Rajnath Singh, the president of BJP contested from this seat. His main rivals were Surendra Prakash Goel (INC) and Pt. Amar Pal Sharma (BSP). In total there were 16 candidates in the fray.

Rajnath Singh won the election confortably defeating his nearest rival Surendra Prakash by over 90000 votes.
