Key Constituency : Moradabad

Moradabad is one of the important constituencies of Uttar Pradesh due to the reason that former Indian Cricket Captain Mohammed Azharuddin of congres contested from here.  He was contesting for the first time for the Lok Sabha elections and won the election. His main rivals were Mohammad Rizwan (SP), Kunwar Sarvesh Kumar (BJP) and Rajiv Channa (BSP).  In total there were 18 candidates in the fray.
