Bhiwani is one of the important constituencies of Haryana state due to the reason that INLD leader Ajay Singh Chautala, son of former chief minister of Haryana, Om Prakash Chautala contested from here and lost to Shruti Choudhry, the grand daughter of Ch. Bansi Lal of INC. His main fight was with Shruti Choudhry (INC) and Narender Singh (HJCBL) and in total there were 30 candidates in the fray.
