Key Constituency : Bhopal

Bhopal is one of the important constituencies of the state of Madhya Pradesh due to the reason that senior BJP leader and former chief minister Kailash Joshi contested from here and once again elected. He was the sitting MP from this seat in 2004 general elections. His main rival in 2009 general election was Surendra Singh Thakur of Congress and in total there were 24 candidates in the fray.
