Key Constituency : Mumbai North

Mumbai North is one of the important parliamentary constituencies in the state of Maharashtra due to the reason that famous actor turned politican Govinda was denied ticket from this constituency and it attracted media attention. In his place Sanjay Nirupam contested from here and won the election. His main rivals were Shirish Parker (MNS) and Ram Naik (BJP). In total there were 23 candidates in the fray.
