Exit Poll Results : West Bengal Assembly Elections 2011
10th May 2011: Post poll survey, conducted by CVB News-C-Voter indicate a clean sweep for the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. AITC led allinace is expected to get between 184 to 192 seats in the 294-member while the Left is expected to win only in 48 to 56 seats. Congress is projected to win in 39 to 47 seats. Its projections are: TMC+Congress: 222-234 Left Front: 60-72. (Source CNN-IBN) STAR News-Nielsen Exit Poll Survey: The TMC and Congress alliance in Bengal are set to win a massive 225 seats in the 294-member state assembly, according to the STAR News-Nielsen Exit Poll thus ending the 34-year run of the Left Front. Update : 31st March 2011, Oinion poll survey results by India Today for West Bengal Assemly Elections 2011 Opinion poll survey carried out by India Today-Headlines, Today-Mail Today-ORG results suggests that AITC led by Mamta Banerjee has an edge over left front. Results of the opinion poll survey shows that Mamata Banerjee was a clear favourite with the people of Bengal as the state's next chief minister. The railways minister polled 49% of the votes to Buddhadeb's 20%. About 38% voters said they preferred another term for the Left, but 53% said they favour change. In 2011, the ORG opinion poll predicts that the Left will get 43% of the vote share, 44% for Trinamool and allies and 12% for others. ORG projects Trinamool and allies will get 182 seats, the Left will get 101 seats, and others 11.
