Indian Union Budget 2009-2010

2nd Budget Session of 15th Lok Sabha to Commence from 22nd Feb 2010

New Delhi, Feb 3: The 2nd budget session of the 15th Lok Sabha will begin Feb 22 and conclude May 7, with a long break of more than three weeks in between, it was announced Wednesday.

The session will begin with customary address by President Pratibha Patil to the joint session of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.

General Budget for 2010-11 will be presented on February 26.

The railway budget 2010-11 will be presented Feb 24. (Presentation of budget is scheduled at 12 Noon on 24th Fe. 2010)

To fecilitate the Standing Committees to consider the demands for grants of ministries, departments and prepare their reports, the house will adjourn March 16 to meet again April 12 2010, a press release said.

The budget session is likely to conclude on Friday, May 7.
